Terrorism has many forms, and all must be stopped

Lenore Yarger went to Iraq (" Anti-war activist's Iraq trip misguided," Jan. 8) to meet the people there who have suffered from the effects of the Gulf War, the years of sanctions and now the threat of being attacked again by the most powerful military in the history of the world. However cruel and unreasonable a leader of a country may be, we know that most of the citizens are not.

Yarger and her travel companions (family members of 9/11 victims) went to show support for the people, not on a comprehensive fact-finding mission.

Terrorism must be stopped. Terrorism comes in many forms, though: Saddam Hussein paying the families of young suicide bombers or George Bush paying the young military pilots to bomb people they cannot see from a plane thousands of feet up.

We must reach out to find peaceful solutions so we can coexist on this planet. As the USA's power to destroy grows, so must its understanding of its responsibility. Peace brings Peace.
