I no longer consider myself a member of SEANC and will not renew my membership. I can no longer be represented by those who produced the slick negative flier about Howard Lee.
It is one thing to send out fliers and postcards in support of a candidate that include information that may sway a voter (we've received at least two of those and read them with interest), but it is another thing entirely to send a document just a few days before the election that is both negative and inflammatory.
This is sinking to the same level, and using the same tactic, that was employed by the PAC for Jesse Helms during the Helms-Gantt senate race. I want no part of it.
I will encourage other state employees and retirees who are members of SEANC to protest this sleazy action by resigning or by whatever means they see fit.
