January: 1/1 - (starting at 10 am instead of 9:45 am) The Elm Tree Dance
facilitated by Jennifer Leeman; 1/8 - Quaker Heroes: An Intergenerational Forum
children from First Day School (CRE) will talk about who their Quaker Heroes are and why; 1/22 - Spiritual Nurture and Accompaniment Deborah Shaw; 1/29 - Passing of the Blocks - Jessica Harper's Trip to Guatemala
Last August, I went for three weeks to Antigua, Guatemala where I volunteered with an organization called Constru Casa to build houses for impoverished communities around Antigua. I helped complete 2 houses for 2 extremely thankful and beautiful families. Thanks to the amazing support of the Meeting, I was able partake on this journey! And now I would like to invite members of the meeting to a forum of pictures and stories from my adventures and ask questions. - Jessica
February: 2/5 - 75th Anniversary Forum: Enhancing Communication Among Us
A panel of CHFM committee members will launch a discussion about how our Quaker faith & practice inspires, invigorates, and informs our work in the Meeting? How, as a faith community, do we discern truth and reveal Spirit through our actions and interactions?; 2/12 - Geechee to Quaker: One African American Journey personal sharing from Bill Jenkins
